Wood fit so perfectly that the camera passed out 😂 6:50
Nice job. I'd put some tool boxes welded underside.
@ChucksCustoms that's the original frame before you put the wood & steel on it correct? Also sir, if I may, and that is the original frame , did you have to get rid of any rust and also paint? Thank you
Love the chain and gear steering step up .
Thanks! It was a neat concept to tinker with, and I’ve seen a few hot rods that had success with it. But for this set up, it was very clunky and unreliable. Maybe a finer tooth gear and smaller chain links would have been smoother
Are you going to put some tie down d rings ?
Nothing better than working right in your driveway better than any shop around!!
Cummings engine?
Awesome i like it your technique is spot on keep up the good work
Nicely done!! 👍👍 Next: mud flaps and headache bar!
Thank you! 😁 I actually just uploaded a video where I build one!
😎 lights look great. Reminds me of my dad’s old truck from the 80s.
Thanks for coming back. You inspired me to start on my new project. A 87 crew cab project. 😊
So you’re THAT ass hat on the road at night.
Nice truck! You could probably get a sun tan if you stay too long under those lights.😊
Awesome!
Always enjoy your videos. Makes me want to get out there and build something. But now I’m in a town house in suburbia where metal working noise is not allowed. Gotta wait till we can get our own place again.
Did you move out of the 1 car garage? Looks like you finally have some room to work, nice job!
Jesus man, didn’t think you were ever coming back. The mullet fuc*s 😂
Nice work as always bud. Love a roll bar with lights on a square…it’s like peas and carrots🤣
Congratulations on getting a sponsor!!! Great work on the light bar!
As usual, some of the best automotive fabrication content on UA-cam. Admittedly, I loved the early, highly edited, comedic content. Some of it was truly legendary. I remember buying my Chucks Customs t, mug and stickers the day they came out. I still sport that t on a regular basis. And as always, I love the content.
I drove a logging truck in the seventies, at night out on the peninsula of washington state, wintertime and cold as H.E. double toothpicks, we had aircraft landing lights mounted to the headache rack on our trucks. I do believe those lights would of been brighter than those lights even. I hope this is not your last videos as I do really enjoy them Chuck. Take care, a buddy in Alaska..
Dude, so stoked to see another video. Keep em coming!
Of all of the youtubers out there, I wish I could see more of your content. Good to see whatever you got, though!
Very nice build. Simple yet to the point,I like that. I do have a question, where did you get the rear light set up?
Thanks! The lights are just LED tail lights I found on Amazon. I ordered them individually but you can probably find a kit. And I just cut out the hole pattern I wanted in some 1/8” steel plate
That was excellent! I was waiting to see it and I happened to see the video whilst scrolling! I guess I need to hit the bell 😂 good work brother!
Wow you make it looks easy nice flat bed just need a headache rack now
YO I SEEN U IN TENNESSEE I GOT A PIC

The smile on your face is priceless. I have felt the same enjoyment on some of my projects over the years. Keep up the great work, buddy!
You might put some 6° degree pinion shims in the rear leaf spring pack.
Yeeeessss. Another video from CC. LOVE PRODUCTION. LOVE THE TRUCK. ADMIRE THE MAN BEHIND IT ALL. You're my inspiration to start doing my own projects.
I remember you bringing her to my house the first time she was road worthy and it shook the bones of my neighbors three blocks over lol I’m so happy to see how far this truck has come and all the hard work you put into it bro enjoy it
I guess my comment will be too long and all over the place. I see you as a guy who works for a living and has learned a ton from this build. I started watching you from the first time thinking you were a recreation of Adam Sandler who is a well known comedian. The fact that some things you approach are quite similar doesn't shape who you are, I would enjoy knowing somehow his money fell into your bank account/LOL. Sure its a comedy of events from the first video watching you weld up metal and see if you could take this rusty cab and other various pieces and parts together. I was shocked to see you go from a idea of re-creating a cab into usable metals that now make it the cab it is. I see a dash that you fabbed up, I did something similar on a 84 model truck after I put a tack dash in the cab and not knowing wiring was different... I nearly cried when it went up in smoke! I had put it in, plugged everything in and then hooked up the battery. In a matter of less than a minute,, my hard work, (plastic circuit board on the dash back) went up in smoke. Those dashes are so hard to find that were made in very low numbers. Chuck, working under a tarp in cold rainy weather with a friend is probably a great day even tho the outside weather was kicking your butt, ya stuck with it like many of us who did this for a living. I worked as a mechanic in the southeast alaska islands and it rained nearly every day. You couldn't take a dozer or loader to a warm shop, it was snow, blowing cold, thinking about a woman who cheated on you so ya went to work to keep from killing her. A love hate thing knowing it was my fault for a good many things that went wrong. Cheating is not fair regardless but its a deeper subject and should not be aired here. So back to that temporary dashboard... I think you have a plan for it also. Also before I forget this also, get out there and vote for a prosperous future. One of the things you deserve is to work and take home a wage that is fair, a american job that if your work ethic is as strong as the will to finish this will show you that the american dream is real. You own the home, shop, have money in the bank, and can feed you and a friend a decent meal and not have to skip a payment on something... a guilt free lifestyle I feel you earned! Your friend Morgan, a guy in alaska, seventy four now and a dog full of cancer but comfortable yet. So as a friend from another place in our world, say a prayer for Rex, who is around twelve and is doing well as can be hoped for. I have a nurse who takes care of him and doesn't charge me. We are great friends, she has a nice guy who now loves her and doesn't abuse her. He is one nice guy and we enjoy teasing her about the care she gives for her many patients. So waiting for that next installment Chuck... hang in there, stay informed and vote dang it... use some common sense, something that is not common anymore!!
1:18 Gitta have eye protection to work under a squarebody. They might be optional for using a grinder, but under an old Chevy there’s some crud coming at your peepers for sure. 😂
Beautiful truck brother🙏
Glad to see you making another video bud, Bessie is such a sick truck.
I appreciate it man! Hopefully I’ll be uploading more frequently
@@ChucksCustoms you're welcome bud. I love watching videos on her, the work you do is really top notch.
And yet dodge used a vacuum booster…
To add insult to injury, I’m finding out that these hydroboosters go bad way too often
Hey there! We're quite interested in your posting content. We have some car related items. Do you accept sponsored products?
What a joke. It would be easier just to put another Square body bed on it. I have done it many many times.
Yes it would, but another squarebody bed would also require body work and paint which at the time I didn’t feel like wasting time on. Plus a flatbed was better suited for what I needed
Looks good, really good. Your a knowledgeable guy.
What gauge steel tubing did you use? Love the build!
The tubing is 1/8 inch wall thickness
@@ChucksCustoms Thanks! Looks to be 2x2" in size?
@johnnyp2697 no problem! It’s 3x3”
Nice. I want one with a liftgate.
Leaf springs… the way God intended. 😂
